Who writes this index, how each row is checked before publication, what the site does not do, and how to report a mistake or a stale price.
Kakobuy Spreadsheet is an independent, unofficial index. It is written and maintained by Mara Voss, who has spent six years buying through Chinese agents and four of those years writing down what actually arrived.
The site exists because the discovery layer of this market is thin: official pages say little, and many third-party pages repeat a count without checking a single row. We do the opposite. We check a small number of rows, date the checks, and explain what a row cannot prove.
How a row gets on this site

The product page loads
We open the partner product page and confirm a 200 response.

The image loads
We check the thumbnail and the main image, not just the alt text.

The price is visible
We record the CNY and USD reference prices shown on the listing.

We write the caveat
If we cannot verify something, the row says so. A caveat is not a failure; it is the product.
What we do not do
- We do not sell goods, take payment or place orders.
- We do not authenticate items or grade batches.
- We do not publish search volumes we do not have.
- We do not use AI-generated product images or fake QC photos.
Corrections
If a price, image, link or claim is wrong, email [email protected] with the URL and the evidence. We correct the page and note the change in the changelog. We do not delete a correction quietly.
